1. Framework

M. XINOGALOS – F. MAVROMANOLAKI G.P., trading as ASTROLABE ENGINEERING (VAT No. 999752529, G.E.MI. 008878701000, registered office: 26 Miaouli St., 146 71 Nea Erythraia, Greece), hereinafter “the Company”, invites expressions of interest for the conclusion of two (2) contracts for work (σύμβαση μίσθωσης έργου) in the framework of the research project:

  • Project title: HBIM4Delphi — Historic Building Information Modelling for the digital documentation, management and restoration of scattered architectural members of the Archaeological Site of Delphi
  • Project code: ΕΚΠΑΡ02-0080050
  • Programme: “Research – Innovate” (Ερευνώ–Καινοτομώ), ESPA 2021–2027, Intervention II — Research and Innovation Collaborations

This call is published in accordance with Article 15(7a) of the Ministerial Decision on the National Rules of Eligibility of Expenditure (ΥΑΕΚΕΔ) and with Annex XI of the Call of the Action, and shall remain open for not less than ten (10) calendar days.

2. Positions

Position POS-01 — Surveying & Geospatial Documentation Engineer (Researcher)

Scope of work. The successful candidate will work as a researcher of the Company throughout the duration of the project, on the acquisition, processing and quality assurance of three-dimensional geospatial data for the monuments and the scattered architectural members of the Archaeological Site of Delphi, and on the production of the corresponding digital models. The work spans all work packages in which the Company participates and evolves with the needs of the project. Indicatively and without limitation, it includes:

  • Design and execution of field survey campaigns: UAV/RTK photogrammetry, terrestrial laser scanning, handheld structured-light scanning, GNSS control networks and geodetic reference;
  • Point-cloud registration, georeferencing, filtering, meshing and texturing; accuracy assessment and quality control against the project’s documentation specifications;
  • Production of photorealistic three-dimensional models of high geometric fidelity, including the deliverable for which the Company is the responsible beneficiary;
  • Contribution to the recording and documentation of monuments and scattered architectural members, to the definition of requirements and standards for digital recording and survey, and to the pilot application at the Ancient Theatre and the Tholos of Athena Pronaia;
  • Technical contribution to the specification, development support and evaluation of the HBIM4Delphi system;
  • Participation in project meetings, recording of working time, and contribution to progress reports and to the dissemination of results.

Engagement: for the whole duration of the project, at up to 1.00 annual full-time equivalent (FTE), corresponding to approximately 34.5 person-months in total. One person-month corresponds to 143.33 working hours (annual basis 1,720 hours).
Duration: from the date of signature until 09.09.2029.
Maximum total gross fee: €93,000, payable against work actually performed, certified by timesheets, at the rate provided in the approved project budget (€2,700 per person-month, i.e. €18.84 per hour), and in any event not exceeding €4,000 per month of full-time equivalent engagement, as provided for researchers in the Call of the Action.

Position POS-02 — Geometric Documentation & HBIM Modelling Engineer (Researcher)

Scope of work. The successful candidate will work as a researcher of the Company throughout the duration of the project, on the geometric documentation, data processing and parametric (HBIM) modelling of monuments and architectural members, and on the technical quality assurance of the Company’s documentation deliverables. The work spans all work packages in which the Company participates and evolves with the needs of the project. Indicatively and without limitation, it includes:

  • Establishment and adjustment of metric survey control; integration of heterogeneous survey data into a common reference system;
  • Geometric documentation, orthoimagery, sections and measured drawings of monuments and architectural members;
  • Parametric / HBIM modelling of architectural and structural elements and their semantic enrichment, in cooperation with the partners developing the system;
  • Contribution to the definition of requirements and standards, to the documentation record sheets of scattered architectural members, to the specification and evaluation of the system against its performance indicators, and to the pilot application;
  • Verification of the Company’s deliverables against the technical specifications and the standards adopted by the project;
  • Participation in project meetings, recording of working time, and contribution to progress reports and to the dissemination of results.

Engagement: for the whole duration of the project, at up to 0.92 annual full-time equivalent (FTE), corresponding to approximately 31.7 person-months in total.
Duration: from the date of signature until 09.09.2029.
Maximum total gross fee: €85,700, under the same conditions as above.

3. Qualifications

Required (for both positions):

  • A degree of higher education, from a university or a technological-sector institution (EQF Level 6 or higher), in Rural & Surveying Engineering, Civil / Infrastructure Engineering, Architecture, Spatial Planning & Development Engineering, Geoinformatics or a cognate engineering discipline; foreign degrees must be accompanied by recognition from the competent Greek authority;
  • Professional experience in geometric documentation, surveying or 3D digital documentation;
  • Working command of the software used for the above tasks;
  • Good knowledge of English (declared in the curriculum vitae);
  • Ability to carry out field work at the Archaeological Site of Delphi.

Desirable:

  • Postgraduate studies or doctorate in a cognate field;
  • Experience in the digital documentation of cultural heritage or monuments;
  • Experience with UAV photogrammetry, terrestrial laser scanning, handheld scanning or GNSS; a valid remote pilot certificate (for POS-01);
  • Experience with BIM / HBIM authoring and with point-cloud processing software;
  • Participation in national or European research and innovation projects;
  • Scientific publications or conference contributions in a relevant field.

Candidates who do not meet the required qualifications of §3 shall not be selected.

5. Documents to be submitted

  1. Application, stating the position code (POS-01 or POS-02) and including the candidate’s declaration that the particulars submitted are true and that there is no impediment to the conclusion of the contract. A candidate may apply for both positions, submitting one application for each;
  2. Detailed curriculum vitae, stating professional experience, command of the technologies of the position and knowledge of English;
  3. Copies of degrees and other academic titles (with recognition, where applicable).

The Company may ask any candidate for documentary evidence of the particulars declared in the curriculum vitae before the assessment is completed.

6. Submission

Applications shall be submitted by e-mail to mail@astrolabe.gr, with the subject line “HBIM4Delphi — Expression of Interest — POS-01” or “— POS-02”, in a single PDF file.

Deadline for the first evaluation round: Monday 19 October 2026, 23:59 (EEST). Receipt of each application will be acknowledged by return e-mail.

This call remains open for the whole duration of the project. Applications received after that date remain active and are assessed in subsequent rounds, whenever a position in the project team needs to be filled — under the same criteria and the same procedure, without a further publication.

7. Selection procedure

Applications shall be assessed by an evaluation panel composed of the two managers of the Company. The panel shall draw up reasoned minutes of selection, including the ranking of candidates against the criteria of §4. The result shall be communicated to all candidates by e-mail and published on this website.

The procedure shall produce a reserve list, ranked by score for each position, valid until the end of the project (09.09.2029). While the list is valid, the Company may conclude a contract with a candidate on it for the same or a substantially similar position — where the candidate initially selected does not sign, resigns or withdraws, or where a corresponding position in the project team falls vacant or is added — by fresh minutes referring back to this procedure, without a further publication, and subject to the approval of any required modification of the project team.

Candidates may lodge an objection with the Company within five (5) calendar days of being notified of the result. Objections shall be decided by the legal representative of the Company within five (5) further calendar days.

8. Terms

  • The contracts are contracts for work (σύμβαση μίσθωσης έργου). They do not create an employment relationship of dependent labour between the contractor and the Company, nor any entitlement to permanent engagement.
  • The conclusion and continuation of the contracts are subject to the inclusion decision of the project, to the approval of any required modification of the project team, and to the continued funding of the project.
  • Fees are paid against work actually performed and certified, supported by timesheets, and are subject to the eligibility rules of the Action and to verification by the competent authorities.
  • The number of positions may be reduced, and the call may be cancelled, by reasoned decision of the Company, without any claim arising for the candidates.
